iTunes U, good source for learning?

has anyone tried using iTunes U as a way of continuing education?  I know it doesn’t count toward anything, like a degree but I see that they have some writing and art history classes on there. I was just curious as to what other thought of it as a source for instruction and inspiration.

I graduated Graphic Design College over 10 years ago and I can’t help but think that I may have forgotten things over the years and I know that things change over time.  I just want to stay current and well informed.

Thoughts?  Feel free to comment.

  1. I would look through the reviews before buying. I wanted to take Creative Writing Master Class, but discovered through the reviews that you can’t access the texts without an iPad.

    • Yeah that was the first one I tried and got frustrated when I couldn’t read the material. I did find others though that work and are all free. Probably not the greatest resource but it’s something.
